“What sets Coach Mike’s clinic apart from others is there is no down time. Kids do not sit and wait for their turn, they are in constant motion—and as a result, engagement is elevated- which kids thrive on.  My kids participated in several clinics and this was by far their favorite”

“We signed our son up for Coach Mike’s clinic this summer to give him some more ice time and hopefully a confidence boost. Coach Mike has such a wonderful way about him, his kindness and positivity draw the kids in. We have seen so much overall growth this summer than we ever expected. Better than his skills/game improving, the respect Coach Mike has given him by greeting him by name, taking time to work with him to get a drill right and encouraging him has been the best part to watch as a parent. This has been an excellent way to spend every Monday evening this summer! Thank you”

“Coach Mike is great! His hockey clinics keep the players moving, engaged and having fun! He connects well with the players and is passionate about developing them as well as his program. His individual/small group lessons are fantastic. My 9 yr old son really enjoys working with Mike, he makes it fun but works him hard. His skating is improving as well as his confidence. As a parent, I appreciate Mike’s solid communication and inclusivity. He wants all kids to play and enjoy hockey!”

“My son, a rising Bantam, really enjoyed playing and practicing with the Eagles. It was a great way to stay active with hockey in the off season and make new friends. He worked on body checking basics and new shooting techniques. Coach Mike is “amazing” (I quote my son)”

“My son skated with them this summer. The skills clinics were wonderful, the tournament was a blast. He loved every minute and I saw so much improvement! We will join the Eagles whenever we have the opportunity!”

“Both my boys joined Coach Mike and Eagles for spring hockey and summer skills sessions this year. Mike brings both energy and enjoyment to helping the kids improve their hockey skills. My youngest had a blast for his first spring/summer hockey experience. My older son comes away from his time with the Eagles a different player, with such an improvement in key skills he wanted to develop, and a great confidence boost to go with it”

“My peewee had a great experience at Coach Mike’s clinics! I wish we were able to make more sessions! Coach Mike was great with the kids, greeted players and parents at the rink, and was awesome at communicating! We will definitely be looking to get on the ice with him in the future!”

“Coach Mike does a great job and my kids had a very positive experience being part of the Spring Hockey games and Summer Skills clinic. A highly communicative coach who is always interested and asking the kids and myself if they are enjoying the program. Big thumbs up”

“Coach Mike and the Eagles hockey program have offered a fun, competitive environment to build confidence and develop skills alongside players from a variety of programs. It has been great to have the option of practices, games, clinics and a tournament to keep my kids skating through the spring and summer!! Thank you”

“Coach Mike and Eagles Hockey has been amazing for all 3 of my skaters. We’ve done private lessons, drop in skates and played on the Eagles and it’s been a wonderful experience. Coach Mike is communicative with players and parents. He works hard to make it fun while still pushing to the next level. Highly recommend!”

“My daughter loved being on the ice with Coach Mike and the Eagles for skills. She attended as a goalie and is sometimes easily “forgotten” at skills sessions, but not this one. She can’t wait to return”

“Coach Mike has really helped my son over the spring and summer to improve skills. He has a very positive attitude and kids feel so comfortable with him. His summer tournament was fun and hoping it’s even bigger and better next year”

“Coach Mike is always super motivated and supportive when coaching the kids. A positive role model. My son always enjoyed being on the ice with him”

“Took my son and his buddy to last nights Eagle skate with the Westminster coaching staff. Boys had a great skate, worked on skills and finished with several small area games. They really enjoyed the skate!”

“Fantastic experience with Coach Joncas from Westminster in the Prep Clinic this week! Thank you for organizing these opportunities!”

“Great skates thanks to Mike Halpern and the Avon and Westminster Coaches!”

“Summer local prep skates have been great! My son has really enjoyed the different practices run by the coaches from Pomfret, Loomis, Choate, Avon, and Westminster. Mike is very personable and takes time to make sure everyone is on the same schedule. We will definitely be looking for to this again next summer!”

“Mike has been able to pull in some great instructors for the clinics this month…skating with coaches from Loomis and Choate. The sessions challenged my son and got him out of his comfort zone. Thank you for organizing!”

“Great clinic tonight. The boys said it was equally fun and challenging. Thank you guys!!”

“Great summer skate last night! We will join again. Thank you”

“My son has enjoyed the clinics and the opportunity to skate with different coaches this summer”

“Great session last night with coach Mike and AHC of Loomis. Good size group of kids showed up and they kept them moving the entire time. Awesome drills! See you next Monday!”

“Through his clinics and instruction, Coach Mike Halpern has helped my kids immensely”

“My son skated at the two skates Mike put together with the head coach of Pomfret and they were both excellent. Fast paced, and pushed the players with some great drills that kept the whole group engaged. Perfect amount of players, some great goalies, a lot of reps, and my son loved it. Great skate!”

“My son Collin is a 2010 Tier1 AAA Defenseman and went to his 1st clinic last night. He said he liked that the drills were based on compete level and hustle. He also said he liked that the drills were focused on transitioning offense to defense”

“High paced / high energy practices with experienced coaches. Definitely recommend”

“My 2011 attended a prep school skate coordinated by the Eagles recently. It was very well run – dynamic drills and a good player caliber. Looking forward to attending more this summer”
